We are the RoboCup Junior Soccer 2020 State Champions!
2020 was an unfortunate year for everyone. Even in Robotics, we had to run our classes online for two months and use virtual robots. In term of competitions, most of them were cancelled, a few were online, and online two were organised face to face: in South Australia and Western Australia. However, this year was the biggest for RoboCup Junior SA as we had a record number of teams: 84! Adelaide Robotics Academy entered the State Competition with seven teams: three in Rescue (line) and four in Soccer. While the Rescue teams had to face unexpected difficulties, the Soccer teams were quite successful, cleaning the podium and bringing home all three trophies: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. This comes to confirm our value considering that in 2019 we won trophies in Sumo! Congratulations to all students who entered the competition, and maybe next year they will bring home some Rescue trophies as well!
